OR 212 Improvements

I-205 to U.S. 26

About the Project

ODOT is improving Oregon 212 from Interstate 205 to U.S. 26 through Damascus and Boring. Traffic delays and congestion are expected in the project area.

Key Project Improvements

  • Repair and repave OR 212.
  • Installation of sidewalk upgrades and curb ramps that meet American Disability Act (ADA) standards at many intersections in the project area.
  • Installation of a new bridge on OR 212 at North Fork Deep Creek (east of Boring), which allows fish to swim through the creek more easily.

Project Update

We finished the new bridge on OR 212 at North Fork Deep Creek (east of Boring), which allows fish to swim through the creek more easily, and repaved OR 212 from the Union Pacific Railroad crossing to 172nd Avenue. We also installed sidewalk upgrades standards at many intersections in the project area. Some ramps need final adjustments or resetting work, which is ongoing.

Nighttime Paving Ongoing

Nighttime paving is ongoing on the remaining section of OR 212 from 172nd Avenue to U.S. 26 and on Foster Road from OR 212 to Damascus Lane. Paving is expected to continue throughout summer 2021. When paving is finished, the remaining work includes striping of the roadway, and electrical and sign work. Project completion is expected in fall 2021.

Nighttime construction noise will take place periodically, and those working or living in the area may hear the noise. Call the 24/7 nighttime noise hotline to reach a live person to discuss any noise concerns: 503-412-2346.
